JAKE:FINAL CHAPTER

IMG_6473.JPG

It’s 4:00 am. Time to start the last chapter at GCU. With both cars packed we left for the unknown. You see Jakes move in time was changed and we were praying we would be able to move in early today. As we waited for the R.A. to give the final approval Jake looked worried. For once it wasn't me! I was confident God had it all under control. With a nod Jake was given his key to move in to the brand new apartments. Several hours later all was unpacked, put in place, and decorated. The final picture was this one. He had been saving this American flag for just this moment. It was a symbol of all that he believes in; God, country, and family. With the toughest classes ahead of him he can be assured God has his back. His summer experience in New Mexico will provide the skills and heart for student ministry at his church. It will also help him reach out to more people than he would normally do. Although some of his best friends are gone this year he looks with anticipation for the new friends God will put in his path. I did a video of Jake his freshman year and then another one today as a senior. He was grateful then as he is now. I am confident this will be his BEST year. Why? Because God has equipped him for this moment..and when you are in Gods perfect will you will know what true JOY is. So Jake, both dad and I are so proud of you. We KNOW God will do great things through you this year as you finish your last chapter at GCU. You have been prayed over and we will continue to be here always. With great love in Jesus, Mom and Dad.
