JOY OVERFLOWING

Day 10 since we retired. Some may be wondering what I have been doing since then. If you’ve been following me on my social media you know the answer…PARTY!!! It started with a heart felt, tear jerking going away party from my “ other family”. Next was spa day with margaritas. Anniversary 28 at Sonic ( ok, maybe not our best choice but hey we just wanted to indulge like they do on the Sonic commercials!) Kev’s 70th birthday with family….he’s still a stud muffin. And ending with Easter. It is my most FAVORITE holiday. I wake up with overflowing JOY because Jesus has RISEN! But it only got better when we invited our friends and Jake’s friends to an Easter brunch. If you didn’t see the video I put out with Jake and his friends collecting Easter eggs, you really missed a funny, funny one..especially the one we nicknamed “cottontail”. In between all the festivities, we have finally started working on our home we bought a year ago with flowers, planters and shrubbery. Our new motto has been “ because we can”. We stay up past 9:00 pm and sleep in as late as we want…only I haven’t! My favorite time is early in the morning to spend with Jesus and the baby doves on my patio. I can smell the orange blossoms and the fragrance of all the flowers around me. Yes, the 1st 10 days have been a time of JOY overflowing. And soon we will be in Ireland. After that I don’t know but I am sure of one thing…this new chapter is going to be an adventure I can’t wait for…until then celebrate each and everyday with a grateful heart. Thank you Jesus.
