THE HEART OF FOREVER FRIENDS
52 years later in Sedona. With Pearl packed to the brim, we were off. Inside the car you heard the chatter of four friends who were laughing, talking, and just catching up on each others lives. Although I have been to Sedona a few times, this was by far my most favorite trip. God smiled down on us with favorable weather, secret places to eat, wonderful accommodations, and new adventures for all of us. But what really made the trip so memorable are the women themselves. I couldn’t have picked better women to have been friends with for over 52 years. We share our hearts, our tears, our JOYS, because it’s a safe place…as Jesus shared ” no greater love than this; to lay down one’s life for one’s friends”. Kimmer with her steadfast strength of the Lord, Mares and her consistently optimistic attitude, and Kath with her poetic words of encouragement. These are gifts from the Lord because He knows we were never meant to go through life’s journey alone. With plans made for next year, we say goodbye with hugs and prayers. I for one cried later. Life is so unpredictable …so for this special trip in Sedona I am grateful to the Lord for the memories. How about you? What are you grateful for? Has God surrounded you with people who love and care for you? If so, have you let them know how much that blesses your life? If not, are you seeking for those kind of people to be in your life? Pray for it and then expect that God will open the doors for..that friend, neighbor, soulmate, grandchild, a returning spouse or child. And if you haven’t met the greatest one of all, Jesus, who will be there no matter what your life looks like now, you just need to ask and He WILL reveal Himself. May God bring you the JOY I was so honored to have received in the heart of Sedona. Love you ladies….
