CHRISTMAS JESUS STYLE

We first delivered Christmas cookies in a wagon when Jake was a few months old. Today he’s 23 shaking the hands of the homeless with our Christmas bags. There was 20 bags to hand out so we headed to downtown Phoenix, close to the tent city. With no cars on the road, we slowly went up and down the streets, praying for the right people. A few refused but many were surprised, then grateful. Some shared their story of how they got on the streets but were on their way to make 2023 their comeback year. No matter their story, their appearance, their demeanor, Jesus loves them and isn’t that what Christmas is all about? As Jake and I talked about this tradition we have had every year, it never gets old. God surprises us each time with new JOYS that can only be found when you give of yourself. What blesses my heart is knowing that Jake will continue this outreach when he has his own family. With the new year right around the corner, I reflect back on this Christmas season and I am grateful. God is doing a good work in so many places !!!
