FRIENDS
Genuine smiles. Some are staged but these were true joys. A long time ago we once lived in a three story log cabin with three acres of beautiful property that had lots of trees, large boulders, and great places for our two labs to roam. It was these families and our friends Mike and Jenny that we started a home group and became forever friends. Although we have not seen them for awhile it was as if it was just yesterday. Laughter could be heard a mile away ( and maybe some not pleasant words watching last weeks game!) Although we are grateful for the friends we have met here in AZ , its these friends, where we have shared life together, that brings comfort and peace and laughter! We may even go on a cruise to Ireland when we retire! As I shared before, this year is about “ sooner than later” and having our friends visit us last weekend has brought us great JOY. Next weekend we will be traveling to CA to celebrate the life of our friend Ed. How is your New Year going so far? Are you doing or planning the things you said you wanted to do? If there is something I learned last year is to not put off anything because you don’t know what lies ahead. As I seek Jesus everyday He brings me back to one thing ; “ Rest in Him”. Kev and I have a lot of things planned this year but I’m trusting God in all things…to be present…I pray that if you still haven’t met Jesus maybe its time to ask. For those who do know Jesus I pray He will bring comfort if you have suffered a loss, peace if you are anxious, clarity when you have lost your way, and JOY when your prayers have been answered. In all circumstances, may we all praise His holy name for the love He has shown to us all.
