HOME SWEET HOME

Home sweet home. After being gone for three months, we are finally back in our home. We have new plumbing, flooring ( although the same as we had ), windows, interior paint, bathroom vanity with all the new lightings and mirrors, and even a new bedspread. Miley got back into the rhythm of her walking trail, Kevin was finally able to sit in his favorite room watching his football games, and I was in my office writing and studying my bible. Soon we will once again rejoin our neighbors and be able to celebrate all that God has done. But like any big project, the process can bring you to the brink of total despair. One such incident was our flooring. The flooring we needed had been discontinued. I was going to have to find something that “kinda of” matched. I couldn’t. My home is my sanctuary where I find peace and rest. With the world in chaos I needed a place I could go to to find quiet harmony…and having different flooring wasn’t going to bring me that I prayed to the Lord and asked for a miracle. And guess what? Another store had the exact flooring on sale with enough extra to cover all the rooms! I know…it’s just flooring. But it isn’t really. You see, God cares for ALL the details of our lives, even if they seem small and insignificant in the scheme of everything. He’s not just the great I AM…He’s also our Father who loves us and wants to give us the desires of our hearts…even discontinued flooring. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7 “ Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you”. Your life, my life, matters. As God has shown us these past three months, He is Faithful. Trust his process and He will show you the Way to true peace….
