IT’S A NEW DAY
It was a hot and oppressive September morning. The windows were shut tight. Those inside were growing tired, argumentative, but refused to take off their jackets and leave for a more comfortable environment. It was a secret assembly, consisting of 39 delegates representing 12 states, that paced the floors of the Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 17, 1787. This was the day the Constitution of America was signed into government. James Madison, along with others, wrote it for the purpose of a strong federal government that protected the rights of the people while also balancing the interests of the states. When all those in the room finally signed the Constitution, you could almost hear them say “Today is a New Day”. Monday, January 20, 2025, on a frigid, cold day In Washington DC, a new president, President Trump, would be sworn in as the 47th President. He had an agenda, as promised to the American people, and he was not going to waste anytime fulfilling them. But something was different. As he has stated more than once, after almost being asssasinated twice, he believes God is directing his steps. President Trump is now seeking HIS guidance in order to fulfill the purposes of what America was meant to be…as established on September 17, 1787 with the new Constitution signed by our Founding Forefathers. The purpose?… Justice, liberty, protection, prosperity, freedom. But as Trump has realized, it is God who is setting the stage for what was and what is to come. Like those who signed what would change the course of America, we too can say “Today is a New Day” Thank you God.
