CAN DREAMS COME TRUE IN 2022?

She looked exhausted. It wasn't your regular exhaustion from work, kids, etc. Something else was going on. When I finally asked , she shared that she and her husband, Josh, were opening a new business. I immediately was hooked. Josh had left a really, really good job to pursue a passion they both shared: Legos. Yes, you read that right. Legos. Ok, it’s been awhile since we last bought Legos for Jake and boy have things changed since then! To tell you the truth, I still don’t understand it all but it’s big business for Lego enthusiasts. So, everyday she came to work I could see that it was wearing on her. I remember those days. The fear and excitement of the unknown, the endless days of preparation, money disappearing before you could even hope to make it back, the countdown to the grand opening…wondering if anyone would come, and the question…will it succeed? What will we do if it doesn’t? We have NO safety net…It’s all or nothing. Have you had a similar situation? A dream that seems impossible, a prayer that no one says can be answered your way, a healing that is against all odds? I read about some men who experienced some of this. They were Jesus disciples. They dreamed to see the Messiah, thought they met the Messiah, and then lost the Messiah. With no hope, they sat together in a room just praying. And then it happened.. Jesus showed up. Against all possibilities , He rose from the grave ( that means He was dead) came through the wall ( not the door people but through the wall) and said something like “ I’m here! Do we have anything to eat? “ Now, doubting Thomas needed to see and feel his wounds because, I mean, He rose from the dead and just came through the wall? Of course we know how this ends. The disciples turned the world upside down for Jesus and to this day millions believe and are saved in the name of Jesus. But, it wasn’t exactly how they thought they’re dreams would be fulfilled. It did cost them their lives. Sometimes God moves us in a direction where He purposely removes our safety net so that you CAN live out your dreams (s). I went to the opening with some mini Oreo cupcakes I made for the event to support them both. What I didn’t expect was the LINES!!! They’re were lines outside the doors with many, many, MANY more inside. I walked in (ok I had too shove my way in) just to see if I could find them. It was beyond their wildest dreams to see the outpouring of people believing in their passion for Legos. I dropped off the cupcakes for the new employees and just watched in. awe. Cassandra and Josh were being interviewed by a station so I took my pictures and left. The future is promising for them both but we know that dreams aren’t always easy…in fact, dreams seldom are. But, like the Bible says “ without vision there is no hope”. What are YOU dreaming for? Praying for? If I’ve learned anything since moving to AZ is to lean into God’s leading and He will give you the desires of your heart. It just might look a little different than you thought but it will be a JOY that you never believed could be possible. Congrats Cassandra and Josh! May God continue to give you favor as you seek to glorify His name with Legos!!
