EASTER: AND THEN THERE WAS FOUR

The angels held their trumpets for the big event. Jessica. Tony. Jasmine. Aleigha. As each Trujillo child rose from the water the angels sounded their trumpets and all of heaven rejoiced singing “Alleluia” for on this Easter four were saved and sealed for the kingdom forever. Jesus wasn’t in heaven when they rose from the water; he was there, next to them, smiling. “ Welcome home child, welcome home”, Jesus said. It had been a long road to get to this moment in time. Each of their grandparents were there to witness they're long awaited prayers. And for the parents? Well, now that’s a story that brings tears to my eyes. Jennifer had been praying for a very long time for her husband to be. Several years ago she connected with Johnny. It became very clear that this was the one. But she wasn’t just connecting with Johnny. He came with a family of four. Shortly afterwards they were married and became a family of six. Like any change they’re was adjustments to be made. I met Jennifer at my former company. We became instant friends. Her heart for God was infectious. One day I invited them all to church at CCV. Our senior Pastor Ashley met them as we were all going into church ( folks, I’ve only met him once in four years!) It would be the beginning of change for all of them. Today was the culmination of answered prayers from so many people in their lives. Their extended family also came to witness this momentum time. I asked the littlest one, Aleigha, before she got baptized , why she wanted to. Her answer? “ I want to be in Jesus family forever”. And that says it all. Easter in 2022: And then there was four. Today is Easter. Maybe someone reading this blog could be the fifth?…to be in Jesus family forever. He loves you and showed it today when He went to the cross, died, and rose from the grave to defeat sin and death. We now have hope for eternity. Just as this Trujillo family has been transformed, you can too. I pray that the angels will be blowing their trumpets singing “ alleluia “ for you. Happy Easter everyone !
