IT’S JUST THE BEGINNING

“You think your season is ending but it’s just beginning”, he smiles. At 6’ 4”, his voice boomed as he continued prophesying over me. Though people were there, it was as if God had stopped all time and space for this moment, for this word from Him for me. You see, last week, I had lost all hope of bringing JOY to others. In one moment, the lights were turned off, the stars were torn down, and the music disappeared. A great sadness had been replaced with a stark environment. Everyone felt it. Kev came and brought me flowers. Jake came to be my hero and give me a hug. The laughter had died. That’s why people stop dreaming, isn’t it? Dreams bring us hope for what can be, for a future you want it to be. But, there is always the possibility someone or something can end it. Have you already experienced this since you wrote down your dream for 2023? It’s easier to just keep surviving rather than dreaming, right? WRONG! God brought a man from our kitchen, who should have already been gone to another job, to give me this word of encouragement…to not let go of the dreams I wrote down. These dreams I have are to bring great JOY to others…and that is God’s heart too. I will wait for Him to act, to pave the way, even if it looks different than my path. For what one may seek for evil God will use for good. The story of Joseph is about God’s faithfulness when others sought to bring him harm. His brothers meant to kill him but God meant for him to be in Egypt, as second in command, to save humanity, especially the Jews, from starvation. For the person who’s lost hope for their dreams in 2023, hang on. “ You think your season is ending but it’s just beginning. The lights will come back on, the stars with your dreams are still there…you will hear the music once again. Don’t give up…don’t give in…a new beginning is just starting…
