JESUS VISITS THE SPA
The card said you could either have “ conversation “ or “no conversation”. I chose the latter. You see, in Jakes Caribbean Mothers Day card, he had given me gift cards for a day at the spa. So, while the boys were camping this weekend, I made my appointments ( THANK YOU JAKE!). With the sound of running waterfalls, spa music, the smell of all things spa-like, I closed my eyes ready for dreaming of being on a beach and hearing The Beach Boys ( its my dream! ). And then the “no conversation” started. At first I wanted to ignore it. And then Jesus showed up. Very quietly He spoke to my heart saying “ This is your appointed moment”. Listen. As I listened I realized this was a person who needed help, outside support, Jesus. She was a mom of three, three autistic children, with her husband also on the spectrum. And now her husband wanted a puppy to fill “ a void “. Anyone who has had a puppy knows that it’s a LOT of work, with a lot of additional responsibilities. Jesus spoke again “ special needs summer camp”. Our church, CCV, has a unique ministry for special needs kids. And with that I shared with her the programs, support, home groups, that could come alongside their family to help them all thrive on this journey. I prayed with her and began to cry…I always do. Why? Because when Jesus is involved I can also feel his love for the person and it is overwhelming. Saying “ yes” to Jesus, wether you are a believer or not, will ALWAYS bring you into the right alignment for your life, as well as others you touch. I walked into the spa with one expectation but when Jesus came too I walked out with tears of JOY. May this week be one of great expectation of what God can do…if only we say “ yes”.
