MOTHERS DAY 2022

Some moms are enjoying their spa day; others over a lobster dinner on the water; and then again just time without the kids! But this Mothers day my guys finished my place of heaven. They made my floating desk, chalkboard both on the wall AND a portion on my desk, hung my lights with pictures of my family and friends, and even went the extra mile with a new fax/copy/scanner so I can make my own cards! And if that wasn’t enough, Jake took me out for breakfast and gave me some very, very special presents! To top it off he picked up my favorite dessert..key lime pie! I now have “ my place “ to write my blog, my book, my special cards. Needless to say, both Kev and Jake are “chilling” now. If ever I felt loved today was the day. But, my favorite gift? Spending time with Jake. We laugh, have deep conversations, imagine dreams to come, and Jesus. But, there was a time when none of this would have been possible. Jakes birth mother chose to keep him, knowing that he would be going to another family. How grateful I am that on this Mothers Day we have Jake . I can still remember when, on Mothers Day, I found out I wasn’t pregnant. And the moment our doctor simply said “ you can’t have your own natural children”. My JOY was gone. But, through the bravery of a very special woman, she sought the difficult road in order that both her child and another family would be able to be bound together in love forever. My cup is overflowing with such gratitude for all that Jesus has given me on this Mothers Day. For all you new moms “ Happy 1st Mothers Day”. For those still waiting for that moment I pray God would answer the desires of your heart. And for the moms who sacrificially gave their child to a special family like ours…thank you..thank you..thank you. Because of you and Jesus I can celebrate Mothers Day. May Jesus bless you abundantly now and forevermore.
