RING OF BEAUTY

She smiled. The last flower was finally added. It was finished. Each flower was intentionally placed. They were unique in color, texture, shape. With the right eye, heart, and purpose, they blended into a beautiful symphony that not even Mozart could compare. As each one was placed, it was scrutinized, sometimes replaced to another section, or, even taken out completely. She was the only one who could see the final picture. It wasn’t rushed. Sometimes it took longer than expected. But the end result was a ring of the truest of beauty. You see, my client who has dementia, made this floral arrangement. She had returned to what she once knew, did, that brought her great JOY. Her final words were profound; “ all the different flowers were once just a flower. But once they were all brought together they became a ring of beauty”. And then she smiled again. I was stunned. To me this floral arrangement is a reflection of God and His plan for all of us. He has given each unique gifts that will finish His final purpose. But it requires all of us to work together, helping one another, supporting one another, praying for one another, showing the true love of Jesus, even in times of great divisions. God is the only one who can see the final picture. There are still a few more flowers to be placed. Are you the one He is waiting for? I pray you will reach out to Him and accept His great love for you now. And for those who do know Jesus, are you using your spiritual gifts to help others and become that ring of beauty? If a woman with dementia can see it, then we have hope to become that unity of flowers that, in the end, bring glory to God. Time is growing short.
